Use the pledge to:
- Publicly commit to boycotting services delivered via poles.
- Demonstrate neighbourhood-wide opposition when speaking to officials.

How to object to a telegraph pole
If you are concerned about telegraph poles being installed in your area, it is crucial to take action before they go up. Once a pole is installed, formal objections can only be raised under specific conditions.
Take action before installation
The best way to prevent telegraph poles is to object before they are installed. Use the resources on this site to raise your concerns with Giggle Fibre and your local MP, and raise awareness in your community.
Objecting after installation
If a pole has already been installed, you may still be able to object under the Electronic Communications Code. Objections are limited to specific grounds:
- If you are the owner or occupier of land where the pole has been placed, or have an interest in neighbouring land.
- If the installation negatively affects your land use or enjoyment.
- If the pole could reasonably be positioned somewhere else.
Submit a written notice with your name, address, and reasons for objection to:
- Email: enquiries@gigglefibre.co.uk
- Post: Giggle Fibre LTD, North House, Phoenix Avenue, Leeds Business Park, LS24 9DY
Complaining under Section 110 of the Communications Act 2003
If a broadband provider has failed to give the required 28-day notice before installing a telegraph pole, follow the correct complaint process. Ofcom is responsible for enforcing the 2003 Regulations under Section 110.
First raise the issue with the broadband provider. If it relates to planning conditions, also contact your Local Planning Authority.
If your complaint is not resolved, escalate it to Ofcom using their official complaint form.
